How to get a refund from Google Gemini
Paid Google Gemini for a plan or credits you never got, or got billed after you cancelled? Here's what Google Gemini's own policy says, where to ask, and how to write a request that actually gets handled.
What Google Gemini's refund policy says
Google AI Pro/Ultra (Gemini) plans are sold through Google One. Google's subscription page says there are no refunds for partial billing periods except as required by law. The Google One Terms say the refund policy applies and you contact the seller you purchased from; the Google One help page says storage-plan purchases are non-refundable in most countries or regions (that page is about storage and does not name Gemini/Google AI plans). Play Store purchases follow Google Play refund policies and Apple App Store purchases must be refunded by Apple. Israel has a specific right to cancel Memberships with a prorated refund and Top-Up AI Credits within 14 days. No general refund window in days for Gemini plans was found on an official page.
How to request it: Contact the seller you purchased from (Google One / Google Play / Apple). Cancel via gemini.google.com > Settings & help > Manage subscription (opens Google One).
Bought it through the Apple App Store or Google Play? Those purchases are refunded through Apple or Google, not Google Gemini directly.
- Google Gemini's official page — “Cancel anytime. No refunds for partial billing periods, except as required by applicable law.”
- Google Gemini's official page — “You will need to contact the seller from which you made the purchase to request a refund.”
- Google Gemini's official page — “For Apple App Store purchases, request a refund from Apple support.”
- Google Gemini's official page — “In most countries or regions, Google storage plan purchases are non-refundable.”
Checked against Google Gemini's official pages on 2026-09-29. Policies change; the official page is always the final word.

How to write your request
- Lead with the facts: what you paid, the date, the amount, and the plan or credits you bought.
- Say exactly what you didn't get — the plan never activated, credits are missing, or you were billed after cancelling.
- Include your order or invoice number and any ticket number you already have.
- Ask for one clear outcome: a refund of a specific amount, or the plan/credits applied to your account.
- Keep it calm and short. Organized requests get resolved; angry ones get routed to the back of the line.
If they don't answer
- Reply on the same ticket or email thread instead of starting a new one, so your history stays attached.
- Keep a record of every message and every reply (screenshots help).
- If a week passes with no real answer, send a short, firm follow-up that restates the facts and gives a clear deadline.
